Paresthesia is an abnormal sensation experienced by individuals, often described as tingling, numbness, pins and needles, or a “crawling” feeling on the skin. Paresthesia can occur due to nerve compression, damage, or other neurological conditions, and nurses may encounter patients with paresthesia in various clinical settings.
