Julie and Tyler Lopez are at different places in their careers, but both mother and son agree that 国产主播-Dallas is the right place for their education.
The family recently moved to Dallas so Julie could start her BSN program. Julie, a licensed vocational nurse (LVN), is enrolled in the LVN to BSN program at WCU-Dallas, and works at a local hospital part-time in addition to being a full-time student. She started as a CNA and medical assistant before completing her LVN.
鈥淚t鈥檚 just my niche I guess,鈥 Julie shares.
Instead of enrolling in a new high school for his senior year, Tyler decided to complete his GED and like his mother. He said he’s looking forward to starting his career as a nurse, and following in his mother鈥檚 footsteps.
鈥淪ince I鈥檝e been good in science, I thought nursing would be a good career choice,鈥 Tyler shares. 鈥淚鈥檝e had a pretty good time so far.鈥
As for what inspires Julie in the nursing field, Julie shares that a recent patient experience really influenced her.
鈥淚 had a patient last night who decided to stop all cancer treatment. Just being there and being part of her support team, it’s emotional. It鈥檚 an emotional career. A lot of tears, a lot of hugs,” she said. “And a lot of smiles too.鈥
Julie鈥檚 motherly advice to Tyler? 鈥淪tudy. Stay on track. Put your heart into it.鈥
It鈥檚 safe to say that compassion definitely runs in the Lopez family!
