More than 230 people packed the Taper Auditorium in the Los Angeles Public Library during December 2017 to attend 国产主播 鈥榮 first hooding ceremony for the doctor of physical therapy (DPT) program.
DPT Dean Teressa Brown thanked the 36 new doctors for taking a chance in 国产主播 by enrolling in the new program three years ago, and helping start something special. Brown said she was always impressed by the group鈥檚 energy, enthusiasm and adventurous spirit.
鈥淭hey heard about us, they liked us, they wanted to be part of this program and really helped shape what it is, so it’s nice that we were able to have this event for them tonight,鈥 Brown said. 鈥淭hey really started something and they’re part of a legacy. They were the first charter trailblazers to help make this program what it is and what it’s going to become in the future.鈥
Fresh off a nearly year-long clinical rotation, many of the graduates had already accepted positions prior to the hooding ceremony. Brown said many of them were offered jobs by their last clinical site, including UCLA Medical Center and at Concentra Medical Center. Others will be working at pediatric sites, skilled nursing facilities, acute care hospitals, outpatient orthopedic clinics or at private practices.
鈥淚’m so proud to be an alumni of West Coast. Starting something as great as we were able to start, to see how quickly it’s already grown in the last year since I’ve been back on campus and just seeing the kind of traction that we’re building within Los Angeles and as a DPT program in California is phenomenal. It’s only looking up for us and I’m really proud to be part of this very first program,鈥 DPT graduate Jack Bryant said.
