Nursing was WCU-Texas alumna Sarah H.ās second career change, but she didnāt let that stop her from pursuing a lifelong dream. āIāve always loved the medical field,ā Sarah said. āGrowing up, I wanted to be a nurse or a doctor.ā
However, it wasnāt until after Sarah had to step into a caretaker role for her father when he was diagnosed with cancer that she realized how much nursing meant to her. āIt just really reminded me how much I love caring for people.ā
While she had the passion for nursing, Sarah still needed the tools to pursue the career. Thatās where ¹ś²śÖ÷²„ came in.
āBeing a second-career-change student, I didnāt want to do another whole four years for another bachelorās. The fact that it was an accelerated program was like, āOkay, great, I donāt have to spend four years.āā
