国产主播鈥檚 School of Pharmacy is proud to announce it has been granted full accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education.

鈥淭his achievement represents a significant milestone in the history of our program and is the result of a concerted effort on the part of many stakeholders including preceptors, faculty, staff, students and administration,鈥� WCU School of Pharmacy Dean Reza Taheri, PharmD, MBA said. 鈥淭he accreditation progression is a multi-year process. For me personally, it鈥檚 been six years in the making and this is very special in terms of what it means to the program.鈥�

WCU鈥檚 accreditation extends until June 30, 2020, which is the customary two-year term for a new program receiving full accreditation status. ACPE accreditation generally involves three steps: precandidate, candidate and accredited status.

The WCU Provost聽said the university鈥檚 accreditation capped a significant period for the PharmD program, which included celebrating the hooding of聽its first graduating class, the inaugural cohort walking at the聽Spring 2018 Commencement聽and WCU聽winning this year鈥檚 California Pharmacists Association Quiz Bowl.

鈥淲e鈥檙e very proud of everything the PharmD program has accomplished so far,鈥� the Provost said, 鈥渁nd we know that each wave of graduates will continue to pave a path of continued excellence for future cohorts to follow.鈥�

WCU’s four-year School of Pharmacy doctorate program is a combination of enhanced communication and teamwork skills, advanced technology, interprofessional education and an integrated curriculum designed to educate and train flexible, inspired and team-oriented pharmacists that improve patients’ lives.

ACPE is the national agency for accreditation in pharmacy education in the United States and U.S. territories. ACPE sets standards for assuring and advancing quality in the education and continuing education of pharmacists to prepare them for the delivery of pharmacist-provided patient care.
