The California Room at Cerritos Community Park was standing room only on Feb. 21 for the 国产主播-Orange County bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) pinning ceremony.
The graduating students happily crossed the stage in front of their friends and family, to receive their pins and lanterns which signifies the completion of their nursing program.
After the ceremony, graduate Johanna Luna shared how thankful she was for all the memories she made at WCU, especially those made while studying abroad.
鈥淲CU prepared me for my career because it allowed me to participate in the global public health program which helped me see health care from a different perspective and provide care to people from all backgrounds,鈥 Luna said. 鈥淚t also helped me learn more about healthcare in a country that is a lot different that our own.鈥
Fellow graduate Chelsea Rain Carmona had advice for those currently in nursing school or considering it.
鈥淗ave good self-awareness. Know when to ask for help, know what your strengths and weaknesses are and use that to your advantage,鈥 Carmona said. 鈥淵es, nursing school is hard and we’re here to learn but you’re not going to know every single thing so you just have to believe in yourself.鈥
