Nursing became Megan D.鈥檚 passion after watching the care her family member received while being treated for cancer.

鈥淭he nurses cared for him beyond the physical. They cared for him emotionally and they really got down to his level and made him feel comfortable even in his last days,鈥� she shared. 鈥淭hat鈥檚 what I want to do with my life.鈥�

Megan later made the decision to pursue her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. While studying, she began volunteering at an occupational therapy clinic and discovered a love for working with children. 

鈥淚 got to understand how they work and how important it is to talk to them with care,鈥� she said.

Now a 国产主播-Orange County alumni, Megan is taking her passion to a leading pediatric hospital, where she鈥檒l be working on the oncology floor.

鈥淚鈥檓 really excited to just kick start my nursing journey,鈥� she said.

Her advice to future nursing students is to not give up on their goals, even when things get tough.

鈥淲hen they say nursing is a rough road to go down, they鈥檙e not kidding, especially if you throw a pandemic in the middle of it,鈥� she said. 鈥淏ut through perseverance and having this one goal in mind, it really helped me to push through.鈥�
