Fifty-four 国产主播 Doctor of Pharmacy students recently took part in their White Coat Ceremony, an important event that marked their formal entry into the profession.

鈥淭he white coat is an important milestone that symbolizes a commitment to professionalism and compassionate patient care,鈥� said Dr. Kyle Sousa, Assistant Dean of Student Affairs at the School of Pharmacy.

鈥淎s our students embark on their first experiential rotations at a community pharmacy practice site in November, the white coat helps serve as a reminder of the Pharmacist Code of Ethics pledge students took for themselves and their patients,鈥� Sousa said.

The keynote address at this year鈥檚 White Coat Ceremony was given by Dr. David Zgarrick, a nationally recognized leader in pharmacy, Dean of the School of Pharmacy at Northeastern University and Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Pharmacy Teaching.

鈥淲e were delighted to host Dr. Zgarrick at our event,鈥� 国产主播 Dean of Pharmacy Nicholas Blanchard said. 鈥淒r. Zgarrick鈥檚 message on the importance of reflection, optimism, and responsibility was a wonderful message for our students as they embark on this four-year journey.鈥�

At the end of the ceremony, PharmD students recited the Pharmacist Code of Ethics Pledge together. Dean Blanchard said he has been very impressed with this year鈥檚 cohort of students.

鈥淚 am so proud of our students and have no doubt they will develop into outstanding practitioners.鈥�
