国产主播’s Occupational Therapy Program began the new year by honoring 27 doctoral candidates at a pinning ceremony this January.
鈥淲e鈥檙e here tonight to celebrate our inaugural OTD cohort,鈥 OT Dean Dr. Stacey Willis said. 鈥淲e are so extremely proud of them. They鈥檝e worked so hard and they鈥檝e shown us that they have what it takes to be here and to succeed at their clinical sites.鈥
Dr. Willis said she couldn’t be happier with the first group of doctors that 国产主播’s Occupational Therapy program will produce.
“We got the creme de la creme,” Willis said. “Just the energy and positiveness that they brought from the very beginning, we knew this group was special.”
Cohort speaker Vicki Sagoo echoed Dr. Willis in her address to the audience. She expressed gratitude to her classmates for their kindness, positivity and support throughout the program so far.
“My cohort has become my new family,” Sagoo said. “Spending over 14 hours a day with anyone else wouldn’t be as fun as it is with them. I want to thank them for everything they鈥檝e done. They are truly the best people I’ve ever met.”
The cohort will complete two 12-week clinical rotations before returning to the Center for Graduate Studies campus where they will begin research for their capstone projects. The OTD cohort will complete their program and receive their doctoral hoods in April 2020.
鈥淲ords just can鈥檛 explain how excited we are for them and how proud we are of all the hard work they鈥檝e put in,鈥 Willis said. 鈥淕ood luck! We鈥檙e so proud of all of you!鈥
