WCU Alumni Network Hosts 2nd Annual Summer Brunch

国产主播 Alumni joined together at the Hotel Maya in Long Beach for the second annual Summer Brunch on Aug. 19.

The WCU Alumni Network organized the brunch for California alumni and their families to celebrate the end of summer. Attendees enjoyed networking, games, a raffle and a delicious brunch.

WCU-Los Angeles alumnus Shawn Palmer helped host the day’s festivities. Palmer was excited to speak with current students about their experience at WCU and the importance of Alumni Network events.

“Events like this are so important because of the partnerships and connections you make,” Palmer said. “It’s a perfect opportunity to come together and talk to those who have crossed that path before and get some great advice.”

WCU Career Services was also in attendance as a resource for the alumni. Career Services Specialist Kelsey Jimenez was thrilled to be able to interact with alumni and show them how Career Services can be used as a resource long after graduation.

“Our partnership with the Alumni Network allows us to connect with graduates and show them that our job does not stop the moment they graduate, Jimenez said. “This kind of event allows Career Services and the Alumni Network to meet alumni face to face in a more personal setting so it’s really a wonderful partnership.”

Additionally, the WCU Alumni Network invited members from the local California Nursing Students’ Association to interact with WCU Alumni and see all that the Alumni Network has to offer.

CNSA Alumni Relations Chair Ivan Molina wanted his fellow students to know just how helpful the Alumni Network can be, even before they graduate.

“I would encourage everyone to join and attend the events,” Molina said. “The alumni are here to help guide you through some of the life choices you’re going to be making soon.”
