Our Community Our Community

A Network of Difference-Makers

At WCU, many of our students begin their academic journey because they dream of making a difference in their communities — whether this is through patient care, public health advocacy, or healthcare leadership. Our commitment as a university is to support students through volunteer opportunities and amplify their efforts through organizational philanthropic pledges.

Philanthropic Activities

At WCU, we aim to support healthier communities even outside of our immediate network. We do this through philanthropic activities, including providing financial support for non-profits and volunteering our time for the causes that matter to us.

Organizations WCU has supported over the years include:

  • (formerly known as the California Institute for Nursing & Health Care)
  • (formerly known as Miami Children’s Hospital)

Community Giving Events

As a WCU student or alumni, you’ll be invited to volunteer your time for an array of different causes. We aim to provide a supportive community where students are empowered to support the causes that matter to them. Check out some of our past community involvement events.
